“I love tutoring because seeing a student start to feel happy about what they do and what they can achieve is a magical feeling.”
Karina is an important part of our leadership team, and spends a significant amount of time running the behind-the-scenes work at Confidence Boost, as well as helping new parents and students when they come to tutoring for the first time. If you give us a call or send an email, there’s a high chance you will get to speak to Karina, who loves to meet parents and learn about children who are finding school tough.
Karina has studied Arts at Sydney University, majoring in Germanic Studies and International and Comparative Literary Studies. She is getting ready to begin a postgraduate law degree, so it should be pretty clear that communication and English are areas that she is passionate about! Karina teaches ESL, English, History, Essay writing and Reading. Her strengths are in English and the Humanities, and she has an incredible ability to relay information to students in a meaningful, thoughtful way. Karina’s students quickly unlock the ability to structure a well-written essay or response, and she ensures that they have the skills to consistently perform on their own.
Karina is also the Communications Director for the Oxfam society at Sydney Uni and loves volunteering. In addition to all of this, she plays flute, piano, and tennis, and likes reading and cooking. She also likes travel, and recently spent 6 months in Austria – we’re very glad to have her back!
