Tutoring tailored to each student

We don’t have standard programs or lessons. Your child has a standard lesson plan at school. Instead, we create lessons based on your child’s unique needs. We monitor your child's progress and change our approach whenever necessary. This is why we are so effective and it's why we get results.
We get that when you're considering tutoring, you want to talk about it now! Call 0438 546 314 Monday-Friday to tell us about your child. If we can't answer, leave a message and we'll make sure to call you back as soon as we possibly can!

Tutoring in Stanmore, Inner West Sydney, and now in Parramatta.

Kate formed Confidence Boost Tutoring to help students in Sydney. She loves nothing more than to see a student realise that they are able to do their work…and even enjoy it! She loves tutoring because it gives her a chance to use the skills she has to help children meet their own goals, and to get excited about their options for life after school.

Kate studied law, and has a BA and LL.B. (Hons) from the Australian National University. She has worked extensively as a tutor, both privately and for organisations, and set up Confidence Boost when she realised that she couldn’t imagine doing anything else. More importantly, she saw that there wasn’t enough help available for students who needed a hand, but didn’t want a hot-house, worksheet-based experience. Inspired by the children she has met over the past few years at Confidence Boost, Kate (who was adamant that her studying days were over!) is now studying a Masters of Primary Teaching.

It’s not all tutoring though! In her spare time, Kate loves all things health and fitness, and has completed a full marathon along with a number of 10km and 20km races. She knows what it feels like to have a goal and achieve it, but she always makes sure the journey is just as exciting.

Kate achieved an ATAR of 99.5 at High School, but while she wants to help children get ahead with their work, she is much more interested in making sure that children realise there is life beyond school, and that marks aren’t the full picture. Her fondest memories of studying are less about academia and more about finally finding her niche through competitions, sport, music opportunities and long-lasting friendships that have endured across state and international borders. She truly believes there is a place for everything we love, and always tries to balance work time with plenty of friend and family time; something she wants to make sure her students have as well.

She helps students across all subjects, including study skills and essay structure, but her main role is making sure that every child we meet gets exactly what they need. She is able to relate to students, helping them to understand their work in a meaningful and enjoyable way. For Kate, true success is when a child realises that they can do their school-work without anxiety.

Why tutoring? Because that ‘ah ha’ moment for a student is so important. Kate wants your child to succeed, to enjoy their work, and to feel good at school.
